Please move if I have picked the wrong board/place!
Yesterday I was told that currently Tesco will only accept vouchers from the main competitors- Customer services said 'only Sainsburys'
Till operator said 'Sainsburys, Morrisons & Asda'
So if you have anything else - I had a Co-op one for get £2 off a £20 spend- no joy at all , in fact I was told 'We don't have to accept any of them!' Nice one customer services!

CS is right, they don't have to accept any vouchers from competitors. If Tesco has this policy to accept vouchers from certain competitors, be happy that they do and don't complain. Spend your co-op voucher in Co-op. It's their promotion and not Tesco's.
Why do people think it is normal that one shop excepts vouchers from another?0 -
Because outside our Tesco store there is a huge hoarding saying "we accept vouchers from other supermarkets" ?0

Just in from my shift, and having double-checked with my Team Leader and our 'CSD Bible':
Tesco accept "Conditional Spend" coupons/vouchers from ASDA, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Waitrose, Aldi, Marks & Spencer, Co-op and Boots.
"Conditional Spend" = e.g. £3 off a £30 shop
Tesco circulated this info to all CSD/Checkout desks in June 2010.

Really? I dont think we have that, but I guess the Scotland/England/Wales rules are different. We were refusing Sainsbury's ones a couple of months ago IIRC0 -

It depends how far away from the Tesco store the other store quoted on the voucher is.
That is you may be refusing because the Sainsbury store in question is too far away to qualify.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
