My Richard Dawkins got cancelled too, nearly bought this in the airport in Seattle on special at $9.99 but thought I'd get a better offer back home - didn't really think I'd get one for cheaper than 6pence, and I was right.:o

I got this email for both the God Delusion and the First Light book.

But I've emailed back pointing out their statement must be untrue - as they are still advertising both books (albeit at a higher price).

I've asked them not to lie to me about my order. I'll see what response I get!

Why does it matter? It's a standard email, not an intentional lie.

No point getting all militant just because you didn't benefit from a glitch.

The email they sent me says they 'cannot supply' the books. That is a lie - they still have both listed, and both are freely available, in-print, books available worldwide. A big seller like Waterstones can easily get them.

They did not send me the email saying it was a misprice - which I would accept.

Instead they sent me emails saying the books were unavailable.

I'm not getting 'militant' - I'm just not going to tolerate their customer services people lying to me.
