Hi,
Thinking of flying to Thailand with them. Never used them before. Anyone got any feedback on them?
What is Amman airport like (stop-over is approx 6 hours)?
Cheers.

I have never flown with them but a colleague did and said they were the worst flights he had ever taken. For a less biased view, look here http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/rja.htm which has mixed reviews0

I travelled with them 2 years ago and had no complaints whatsoever. As we were in Jordan few days before returning, we were able to check all our luggage at their local office. Made life much easier the day we flew back. Airport was functional!0

Hmm, doesn't look great, judging from those reviews.0 -

I considered booking to BKK with them, but when I read the airlinequality reviews I decided not to bother.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

That is what I am trying to work out: can I put up with a sub-standard service (apparently) in return for the cost saving?Heliflyguy wrote: »I thought the airport was ok and thats being kind,I wouldnt want to spend 6 hours there.
Never travelled on RJ so cant comment.
Why are you using them, is the price that good to justify 6 hour stopovers?
I suppose I could put up with 6 hours in a dismal airport. I have done long stopovers at Doha before and the main problem there was boredom. There wasn't much to do (ie. no bars ). Is Amman like that?0 -
I've flown Royal Jordanian LHR to Amman and they were fine, though nothing special. I have definitely flown worse airlines. Not sure if I would fly all the way to Bangkok (would if it was very cheap). Amman airport is awful from memory, they make you pay for the toilets so you will need some Dinars (and yes, nothing to do).0

Don't know whether to laugh or cry at the thought of this!Bananabelly wrote: »Amman airport is awful from memory, they make you pay for the toilets so you will need some Dinars.

The bad reviews seem to be for the AMM-BKK flight on older A310 aircraft, it appears they may be using newer A330 aircraft on some flights, might be worth checking the aircraft proposed for your flight dates DebtSniper.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Good idea. Both legs outbound and inbound appear to use an A332.The bad reviews seem to be for the AMM-BKK flight on older A310 aircraft, it appears they may be using newer A330 aircraft on some flights, might be worth checking the aircraft proposed for your flight dates DebtSniper.
Presumably that is part of the A330 family?0
