Oh come on anxiousmum- living in a 1 bed flat is not exactly living an exuberant life of luxury - poor fella!! Would you choose a house share? Do you share a house?
  • We live in quite a nice area (seperately) of north Yorkshire and the cheapest you could rent a one bed flat for is probably £515 so he doesn't have much choice in terms of reducing his outgoings. Everything is really just a basic cost. It just surprises me that the csa would clearly prefer he lost his flat and job than just adapt the payments. In the ling run if he is out of work surely the women go back to getting nothing!!

    Thanks for your responses
  • Also the gravity of the situation is just really upsetting. He physically has not enough income to cover these outgoings and is stressed beyond belief about the thought of losing his home. I don't know how to help him :-(

If I were a single person, with no day to day responsibility for my children, and no visitation with my children......yes.....I would rather that than losing my job!
  • Can he move in with you?
  • I'm in the process of selling my and my expartners house so am currently living with my parents so not right now no :-(

Unfortunately the CSA do not care if the amount they take leaves the NRP without enough money to live on. Their remit is to collect the money regardless.
