Token Payment Letter... is this ok?

Hi All,

Spoke to Payplan last night and we're now in the process of ditching debtline.

Payplan have advised us to write to the creditors offering a token payment while the transition happens.

This is what i've written...

As you are aware I am currently working with Debtline to manage my debts. I am however currently changing management plans and will in future have PayPlan assisting me.

Could I ask that you bear with me during this change over, PayPlan will be in touch with you shortly and In view of my current circumstances I ask that you please accept the enclosed postal order as a token payment for this month.

Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Do I need to do these letters recorded delivery? Also how much should I offer as payment? Payplan said £5 each but since we're already paying a little more than that per month via debt line would it be wise to offer such a minimal sum?

Any help appreciated :j
