Will a 5 year old default impact on me getting a mortgage?

Hi there. I am just wondering if I could get an opinion on how a five year old default for £1700 will have on me getting a mortgage. I actually had 4 defaults from the same period and have managed to get three of them removed using verious methods that have been discussed in these pages.
I would also say that I have nt missed a payments on anyof my existing accounts in the last 3 years. I have a substantial income and can put down a deposit of between 25% and 30%.
Many thanks in advance - :-)

depends on the lender0

Settled or unsettled default?
If its settled then some lenders probably will be okay. But others could automatically decline you or not give you good ratesA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
