110 volt electric tootbrush required

Anyone know where I could buy a 110 volt electric toothbrush - without having to go on holiday!?

Cheapest UK retailer I can find is nearly £100 - dual voltage at shavers.co.uk.
May be a lot cheaper to order from the USA via Amazon or buy a step down 240v to 110v transformer on Ebay (around £5 plus p&p normally).
  • When we were in 110 volt areas we just plugged in the UK toothbrush, the same with another battery charger too. It just charges a lot slower, it did not damage anything we plugged in. The problem would come the other way round with more voltage going through a unit rather than less. Do NOt quote me on this, I am just saying what we did.

most electric toothbrushes will accept both 110 and 220 volts. Check the back of the box in Boots, but most should be fine. Same with shavers. Shaver plugs in UK often come with both 110 and 220 volt plug holes.

Thats exactly the problem we've got! My toothbrush is in the 240v but OH needs a new one anyway to fit the 110v.

Thanks for all the advice peeps!
