Help refilling Dell with InkTec Kit

Please help...

OH has just refilled the ink cartridge of our Dell all-in-one 922 printer.
He has followed the instructions and is adamant that he has put the right colours into the right compartment.
THE CLEAN AND TEST NOZZLES print doesn't produce any yellow - any idea where we have gone wrong and what to do next.

The test print horizontal lines are blue with a pinky tinge at the bottom, pink, pinky/grey (with maybe a slightly greeny hue) followed by a wide black strip.

Repeat prints are improving but we are wasting a lot of ink with these test prints which rather seems to defeat the object of refilling yourself.
The third test is now producing a murky yellow and the blue band is more or less completely blue now. Is this normal?

seems to be getting better with each print test so we think that maybe the heads became contaminated during the 'dabbing off' process at the end.

    Another question though,
How to you stop the printer thinking that the cartridge is low of ink?
Some flag needs to be reset I guess - will fixing this then stop the software also flagging the ink low messages.

I'm sure I've seen the answer on here somewhere but can't find it now.

    Thanks
