Containers (with pump) for home-made coffee syrup?

Hi all,
We're looking into making our own flavoured coffee syrups, as they're so expensive to buy, sound so simple to make...and we only ever have them as a treat.
The problem we're having is wondering how to keep the syrups. We'd love to be able to get a glass bottle with a pump, just like the Sweetbird ones, but smaller.

Does anybody have any cheap ideas for where to buy these kind of containers and dispensers? My eyes keep getting drawn towards our soap dispenser's pump, but then i'd rather my coffee had a milk froth than a soap froth
Thanks,
Patrick

i buy steel bottles with pump top dispensers (i use them for liquid soap)
i also make coffee syrups
but i wouldnt use them as a dispenser to be honest as the residue in the tube can crystalize, become sugary & block, and at the nozzle as well0 -
What about using one of the glass bottles that a lot of olive oils come in where the top is on a sort of old-fashioned mechanism with a stopper? At our local supermarket we buy bottles of 1L Italian olive oil for abut £6 that come in these bottles, and then you get the bottle free as a result. The olive oil is very good too. The bottles look great for a number of things and I have been known to make 'cafe freddo' with them (lots of espresso & sugar mixed together, then a little water and lots of milk - pour it into the bottle using a funnel and seal & keep in the fridge).
Lakeland also stocks a lot of bottles so you could look there.:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A0 -
How about Cash and Carry type places?0

It's a simple ehow method i'm going to try first time and see how it goes!

Thanks all, i'll look into your ideas - and we have a lakeland in town so i'll pop in and have a look. I know all about the crystallisation, and only ever had trouble with it when i bought a larger volume of syrup, and so it would have been longer before cleaning out the container! It doesn't take much to put some hot water through and re-dissolve the sugar.

That looks cool - please post with how you get on with making them..... Im sure I have a recipe book somewhere with a few in them including a Chai one. Will try and dig it out...
If you ever get the chance to buy a proper pump I would - it would be a 1 off purchase surely?
The site listed in the orig message sells the syrups for £7.89 each.... there are a few cheaper sites selling the same ones. You can pick them up from here: http://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/Sweetbird-Flavouring-Syrups.html cheaper (6.59), or search google shopping for others
I list the site above as there is a 10% coupon code of 'syrup10' which would save even more.
Now I fancy having a vanilla latte, wonder where the nearest starbucks is from hereI am a Jedi MonkeyYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Jedi Monkey, so you need to take my word for it. Not a problem, ill post back on how it turns out!
Unfortunately p+p at that site (NextDayCoffee) is fairly expensive. A bottle of hazelnut with a pump comes in at £14 delivered

You can buy small pump dispenser bottle from superdrug for about £1, they're buy all the holiday mini bits. Wilkinsons seem to have lots of home brew and jam making kit in atm so try there too perhaps.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Well i've made it, and it's yummy! I made a vanilla flavoured syrup (Using Dr Oetker Vanilla flavouring @ 40p/38ml), and also found an old whittards syrup glass bottle with an anti-drip spout so have put it into there.
I used 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water and a tablespoon of extract. It tastes lovely and (to me) very sugary! I can understand that if people are already having sugar in their coffee (i don't) then you may want to put the 2 cups of sugar as some recipes advise. It take 2 tablespoons of the 1-1 mix to get a nice sweet flavour.
All in it cost about 30p, for basically this @ £4 (http://www.whittard.co.uk/store/catalogue/Coffee-P3000/Coffee-Syrup-SC3009/Vanilla-Flavour-Coffee-Syrup-234807.raa)
I also picked up some Almond Flavouring @ 52p, so that'll be next!
Not bad eh?
Now does anybody know where i can source hazelnut food flavouring, as that's my real favourite!
