hi all new to this so hope am doing it right,
when we bought our home things were very diffrent than they are now we were both working and only had 2 children since then we have 2 more children and i had to give up work my oh decided to take a lower paid job to see the children more, what i am worried about is that our mortgage rate ends next august , we have a mortgage of about £140.000 and have debts of £20.000 i am doubting we would get a mortgage of the same, we are with northern rock so would it still be good to go to there normal rate  some advice would be great thanks in advance :j

You don't say what your income is but from what you've said it sounds like you're stuck on NR's SVR. You need to plan for the future for when rates increase0

hi our income is £18.000 from earnings and about £8.000 in tax credits0
