Worked out total debt- not sure what to do

hi, ive just added all my debts up (and oh) and its £19000.t Im currently paying £191 per month off 3 cards and the interest rate is 0% until Jan for £5,000 and the rest is on a card that is charging me 17.5% (just) I dont know whether to get a loan or try a few credit cards, however i know I wont be able to pay the amount of in 16months(life of 0%).
OH very reluctant to discuss- now talking about getting a new car...
I want to end our relationship but want to sort out these debts before anything else.

I am ashamed of the amount here- i never thought I'd owe that much- we arent showy or materialistic- Ive been home for 5 years bringing up my daughter and have only now started working part time wiith a permanent job- before that i was on an agency with not alot of money coming in per month.

any advise would be gratefully received- I just wanted to talk to someone about it and this forum seemed the place.

thanks
k:(

Firstly you need to do a statement of affairs - there is a link in the sticky at the top of the forum and you can then identify in which areas you are overspending. Its not a nice step but essential to start debt busting!

    Hi
Welcome to the board. You need to post and soa as princessleah said above. You also need to make oh see sense; show him the soa once done so he can see situation in black and white. Please don't go ahead and buy a new car; doesn't he think 19k is already a lot of debt to have without adding to it??!!!
