Good afternoon everyone, i just have a quick question, I have just checked my online bank account, and found that my debt mangement company have tried to take my direct debit for my debt management plan on 21st september but it wasn't due till 23rd sept, so it has been returned as unpaid I have today been into the bank to pay in the amount for the payment which is due tomorrow the problem is that my bank will now charge me 30.00 for this which is a bit unfair as payplan have tried to take the payment to early does anyone know if there is anything i can do about this Many thanks:mad:

I would suggest to set up a standing order on a date that the money is guaranteed to be in the account.secondly direct debit means they can determine when they request the funds from your account instead of you determining when the funds leave your account(standing order).thirdly perhaps you can explain to the bank that the direct debit was supposed to come out on the 23rd september and that they can forgive the interest/charges as technically it is outside the direct debit mandate agreement.
hope this helps
