HP customer service is 2nd to none - so far I've had nothing but bad experiences followed by good ones: sent my laptop back several times for it not to be fixed, finally given a brand new one as a replacement on three occasions and left with the old as well (sold nicely on ebay)

I paid £500 for my original laptop, sold it for £740 when I got my first replacement (£2,000) then when that died after three years they replaced it with another £2,000 machine! What a bargain = )

I think the Medion one at £204 delivered is better IMO. OK, it's a refurb with only 90 day warranty but beware RTB warranties, as it will cost you a considerable amount of money to send the PC back securely, anyway. Maybe cheaper to take it your local repairer? Just my thoughts...

As refurbished products have been unpacked and undergone repair they often have minor cosmetic imperfections, this is reflected in the price of the item.

That may have slightly more hard drive space but the battery life is 2 hours, the HP one mentioned by the OP has 4 hours.

I can't understand why people are buying laptops with a battery life of 1 to 2 hours, it sort of defeats the object of having a laptop (unless you are basically replacing a desktop PC to save space, although I'd still personally stick with the PC)
