Hi there
Dont know if this is the correct place to post. I wanted to know if it is possible to do a same day money transfer to a person that doesnt have a bank card. Im sure there must be a way to do it, but cant think how. Hes over the other side of the country.
Any advice would really be appreicated.

I presume the other person has a bank account and/or a card/book that allows them to withdraw money?
If its with the same bank i.e. Natwest, it will be instant. However if it is with different banks, it may depend on whether both accounts are 'faster payments' enabled. I remember reading something that it was launched in 2008, with the expectancy of 2/3rds of banks to be completed by 2009.
If they are Faster Payments enabled, its usually instant, or within a couple of hours.
If not.. its 3 days.
Its worth giving the banks a call and checking!Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!

Western Union? They charge huge amounts but its pretty instant I think?0

Oh.. the other way to do it is to go into a branch of the persons bank, and pay cash directly into the account. You'll need the sort code and account number though.Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!

Unfortunatly he is unable to use his bank account because, the bank swipped his money. Hes in quite alot of debt and I did transfer 54 pound to his bank account by faster payment but, the will not let him take it out. I will have a look at western union.
Thanx for your replies

If he can't use his bank account where are you going to transfer it to? :S
Can transfer online (although will take a few days if it's a different bank) take his bank account details and go into the local branch of his bank or the post office and pay it in. But both will need a bank account and am fairly sure Western Union does as well.0 -
With Western Union, it will probably be cheaper to drive round with it unless the other party lives on Jupiter...they charge loads."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

I know it's not same day but a postal order for up to £250 costing up to £10 will be there tomorrow. Can they wait 1 day?:footie:

It looks fairly straight forward, it does cost but perhaps less than western union.
Just looked at the calculator on the same site and to send £200 it would cost £19 in fees and be available for him in 10mins.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
