small mortgage wanted but is it possible with a CCJ?

Hello

thank you for taking the time to read my post.

we currently live in my husbands grandmothers house. she died this year and left 90% of her house to her daughter and 10% to her son.
my mother in law is basically giving us the house but we need to pay off her brother 10% of what the house is worth.
i have looked into getting a mortgage and we have to have 25 thousand minimum, which is more than needs paying out but we were willing to take on that amount as the house needs some serious work doing to it.

anyway my husband has a CCJ , i was told yesterday that we wouldn't get accepted because he has 1. i cant apply on my own as i don't work.
we have had credit before and paid without missing payments.
he has no debt i have my credit card of £1000.

is it possible to get a small mortgage at all?
thank you for an advice or information yo may have xx

How much was the ccj for, when was it registered, and what was it for (i.e. credit card, loan?)?

    The answer is yes.

What kind of rate available will depend on the property value, along with any other commitments you may have (along with info asked for above)
