There are indeed many deals that offer a fee free re-mortgage deal.

It all depends on whether you fit the criteria of the lenders that you have been looking at?

    What is the property value?
Are you looking at fixed or variable deals?

  • value around £140,000 .I would prefer a deal where I wasnt tied ,so I can clear all off the mortgage if I need to .Failing that I dont mind if its fixed or variable so long as the repayments look good .

I own a second property with no mortgage ,but If I sold it I would want to be able to clear my exsisting mortgage ,thats why I prefer no tie in .

On that basis you look can at deal (tied on for introductory period) from around 4.89% tracker deals or 5.25% fixed deals.

No tie-ins at any time and you could be looking at deals from 4.94% upwards on tracker deals, 5.75% fixed rates.

  • Sorry ginge, we are not supposed to give lender names on the forum, but I'm sure you could find it on moneysupermarket.com or similar

remember you may have to pay an admin fee to your existing lender when you leave
