  • I don't eat meat but at a guess I'd suggest letting it simmer gently for a while longer and have a piece of fruit or something while you're waiting? x

When I cook stewing meat in the oven I leave it for 4 hours.

With meat, especialy the cheaper cuts the longer and slower you cook it the better it is.

I do not hold with the flash in the pan cooking where they say hold it over a small candle for 40 seconds and mind you do not over cook it.

Shin in a slow cooker or a low oven we give 4/6 Hrs and it wont do it any harm if you give it longer.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I'd cook it for at least 3 hours in an oven, between 6 to 8 in a slow cooker

I agree - long slow cooking.

My slow cooker is a blessing as i do not have to fiddle about with it.
