Edinburgh parking

Staying at the Travel lodge, shadwick place, in Edinburgh on a fri in nov, need somewhere to park my car overnight (until approx 12 next day) as hotel has no parking, any ideas for somewhere not too expensive!

Best to look at the Park and Rides on the outskirts of the city and take a bus into Shandwick Place or look at Castle Terrace car park.

Parking anywhere around Learmonth Terrace is free after 6.30 on Friday.

Its just a short walk up to Shandwick place from there.

Just check the on street notices to check your parked ok

You could also try around Murrayfield, its about 15 minute walk to Shandwick Place and wide residential streets with plenty on street parking.

Also there is Devon Place which is a 5min walk from Shandwick place. Its £1 per hour between 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and free anytime after that

Best bet is to park in Belgrave Crescent (or streets beside it) which is about a 5 minute walk from Shandwick place. (Permit Zone 5) Its basically just a right turn at the end of the Dean Bridge (at the church). You can park there from 5.30pm on a Friday and all weekend for nothing. Just make sure you move it by 8.30 Monday.
