When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning:T
I love wednesdays - I don't work;) But, this is the last lazy one as back to Uni next Wed...so really I should be doing some work today, I shall try:rotfl:
Other than that I doubt there will be much else going on - can't be bothered to go any where...and it saves money to stay in!
Hope all well - hello to you regulars and welcome to new posters:T

Here's my list:
  • check banking
  • daily scratch
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • meal from plan tonight - might be toad in the hole
  • NSD
  • check out Grabbit board
  • Uni work
  • water heating only on for an hour or so
  • washing on quickwash then on the line
  • hoover through house
  • Update diary on here
That's all I can think of;)
Have a fab day....on our way to the weekend:T

I really need to sort out a new signature!

Josie I also want to know why? :rotfl::rotfl:
Mine could do with the heat though, since the neighbours trees have grown up they rot down SO slowly :p

    Morning All
Sorry people are feeling pants at the mo. This time of year does bring some people down (my mum for example will not be very cheery until Spring now :() And on a DFW journey there are times when it is just a plain old unremitting slog :( And this is where this thread helps, and I never mind reading the same things each day, it even jogs my memory sometimes - "oh yes I must just...." ;)

    So today I have/will:
    • put my Amazon listings back on vacation - didn't sell anything in my 2 weeks at home anyway :(
    • check banking - money arrived woo woo :jit's been a bit stressful these last couple of days as I've waited :rotfl:
    • driving to DS2's with DD today - will drive economically and avoid congestion zone :D
    • Will take them to Sainsbugs, with coupons and extra points and get them food for the next few weeks.
    • Check in on-line tonight and hopefully get a window seat :(
    • Popeye is taking me away for the weekend straight from arriving at the airport Friday morning   so I must be ready for that, no chance of a shower and an organised re-pack :o
    • make some crumbles for DD while I'm away and give her a pep talk re her money........gulp
Have a great day everybody :A
  • DD2's 5th birthday today!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

She told practically everyone on the way in to school!!!

    Not an NSD today
Buy cake and some finger food for anyone popping round later
DD2 at school until 1pm - not full time until next week- so walk to pick her up
    hoover and tidy house
    check banking
Sew hole in one of my favourite tops
Spend time playing with DD2 :):):):):)

    That is it for me!

I have to get back on the DFW band wagon!

I have no idea what i have spent on food or how many NSD's we have had! ooppps! So i have just put a question mark!!

Will be back firmly on track in october! I have a wedding to raise money for!!!!!
