Have I a private agreement with NRP

Hopefully somebody can put my mind at rest. I receive CM monthly by standing order from my ex. This amount has been calculated by the CSA, however all payments are received direct.
On their site I have found the following:
"A private agreement is not generally legally binding
and overdue child maintenance payments cannot be enforced or collected by the CSA if your private agreement breaks down."
Page 7 of pdf "Legal rights and responsibilities".
Have I a private agreement, as nothing has been signed, or am I with the CSA. If my ex builds up arrears does that mean I cannot ask the CSA for help?
Thanks

If you went through the CSA to assess what maintenance your ex should pay i would imagine that unless you closed the file with the CSA you will be covered by the CSA-if you went to the online calculator and did not open a case with the CSA then you won't be covered.
Personally My ex and i have a private arrangement (not through CSA) and it has been fine for the last 10 years. My Husbands' ex went through the CSA and she is now finding she would probably have been better off coming to a private arrangement. HTHGE 36 *MFD may 2043

All should be fine, it is your ex more at risk, as you have the choice of going to the CSA whenever you are ready. As the SO is in place, then it's not as if he is looking to avoid contributing :j0 -
Thank you both.
Yes, all is working well so far, but... I have a tribunal coming up and it looks like I will have some arrears due (if I win that is). Just need some reassurance that I will be able to be paid the arrears.
