If when calculting a maintenance assesment and the CSA have done it wrong legally, can they redo the relevant assesment. It would appear not according to some of the CSA.

Yes if an assessment is legally incorrect, then you need to appeal, if you cannot do so within the 13 month deadline, please involve NACSA as if an assessment is incorrect, then legally CSA do not have a timeframe I believe, you can appeal it anyway at any time - after all CSA backdate incorrect assessmants, same difference, but different of course as this is the CSA

If you appeal and CSA Appeals Dept are involved it is up to them to change assessment according to new info/evidence provided, if this does not happen, it gives you appeal rights whereby you can have your appeal heard by an Independent Tribunal with an Independent Judge in charge

That was my understanding but it would appear the appeals unit say differently and its up to a tribunal to decide.

I have basially spelt it out to them with letters but act on it. It's not any of them that attend the tribunal but someone else. Hopefully this new government gives them a wake up call and they start providing a more efficient service and face up to their actions.

No blame culture within the organisation and managers will back the employees to the hilt.

    rant over

    Thanks :rotfl:
