Lego City Advent Calendars only £15

Hi everyone,

I've been hunting around for a good deal on the lego advent calendars and came across them for £15 (plus 5% quidco, free delivery over £45) on the Hamleys website. They seem to sell for £20 - £25 everywhere else.

Pretty sure these are the 2009 ones but we've never had them before - so no duplicates - and they don't obviously say 2009 on them. Ordered mine on Friday, quidco tracked fine and they arrrived yesterday.

HTH someone!

  • I bought this years one in John Lewis. The Lego City advent calendar. It's £24.99 but I get staff discount so got it cheaper but not as cheap as that! First time I've bought my kids one but they seem heavily into Lego this year so thought it would be a nice treat for them. Great bargain OP if you don't already have last years, kids won't know.

I bought this a few years ago for my son and he loved it. In fact every year since the lego santa as made an appearance on my mantle piece might try to get one again this year.
  • Great price, unfortunately my kids had this one last year. They release two new ones every year and the new ones are all £25. Dosen't make a jot of difference as the kids won't know it was last years and with a bit of luck you'll always be able to get the old one at a cheap price!
  • Sainsburys have the playmobil advent calendar for £9.99 with free delivery to store - as an alternative. I ordered one of those earlier tonight but now tempted by the lego one - decisions decisions!!

we got Playmobil advent calendar last year and I didn't rate it at all compared to the Lego one.
This year's lego ones are a new City one and a Lego Kingdoms one which looks rather good. The City one is quite similar to last years really. I wish there was a Xmas Star Wars one.....
  • Yes, playmobil is great but the calendars are a bit of a pain! we did it for 2 years, but if I remember rightly you have to assemble all the boxes yourself, sort out all the little bits yourself and then put them in the boxes. Took ages just to set up and the first year we really weren't prepared! The lego ones ROCK!!

hamleys says free delivery over £50. I can't see what the delivery charge is, but I'm tired. Does anyone know?
