Electric toothbrush

Am looking to buy a new electric toothbrush to replace our old ones. We bought them years ago from QVC. These were a pack of 2 separate toothbrushes with their own chargers.
Can you buy one base with charger and buy different heads so that all the family can have their own but use the same base. Are they made so you can keep changing the heads or will this shorten their life??
Also any recommendations as to which ones are worth going for?
Cheers

Yeah you can buy seperate heads to fit one base for most models, and the heads normally come with little coloured rings to put round them so who know whose is whose!
Supermarkets normally do good deals on them throughout the year, do you know which model it is you like?0 -
Oral B seem to have been half price in most stores for the majority of the past year. At the moment still on half price in Tescos.
They all come with their own charger. I suppose you could get one then everyone has their own head to apply when using the holder but unless they have updated the whole electric toothbrush thing since, they do allow dribble during use and it can feel manky using the holder after you know someone has drooled all over it a few minutes beforehand! And yes, the repeated use would shorten the battery power over time.
I'd say get one each if possible but if its not, Oral B is a good make to get as like the poster above mentions, they come with coloured rings to apply to each head before use.0 -
Ended up getting an Oral B 3000 for half price in Boots. Just got to be patient now while it charges to see if it's any good lol
Thanks for your help0
