Hi,
Would really appreciate some advice.
WE are looking to remortgage to consolidate debt.
Our LTR will still be less than 70%
Our credit reports are both top end of fair.
Neither of us have any ccj's, or defaults.
We do however have quite a lot of credit but are up to date with everything.
There will be however a couple of occasions a pyment has been late, but always paid before next one due.
We both work fulltime.
We currently have our mortgage with the halifax, and our current deal ends in 3 months. They did however reject me recently for a 0% transfer credit card which was a bit of a shock really.
I'm unsure whether to apply for further credit, then remortgage with them, or look elsewhere?

You are better off starting with the Halifax and asking what deals they have for you and can you borrow more to clear the CC debt.
What are you paying now ? does your mortgage revert to 3.5% halifax SVR and is that less than you pay at the moment.
Light bulb moment you need to earn more or spend less.0
