Thanks mrs deadline and ali007 for the great replies, and nice to meet you southernscouser.

Well yesterday I was feeling down, today I feel ecstatic. A company I had an interview with last week rang and said I had the job. It is 25 hours a week and in between school hours, so I can take and collect my older son from school and take my youngest in a few weeks when he starts nursery. Only about 3 hours a day childcare, so things starting to look up. I start on Monday.

Now time to start concentrating on the debt. Then in a few months I will tackle the high mortgage payments and get a better deal. I am going to put it all in my signature and will keep you all updated.

    Thanks again
Brilliant. VERY VERY well done. So now have a nice relaxed week(easier said than done I know!!!) You are doing brilliantly. Keep on with your plans and you will be debt free berore you can draw breath!! Have a nice week. Annie XX

  • Wow thanks for all the congratulations and good luck messages. I am raring to go now.
  • Still feeling on top form at the moment. This site really keeps me focused. A couple of days ago we applied for a Morgan Stanley CC as it was on 3.9% until 2010, and will definitely clear the debt by then. Had a letter this morning saying we had been accepted, just need to know the credit limit. As long as it is about £2200 that will be great as the Capital One card can be cut up and the account can be closed. Paying far too much interest on that one.

I have also been selling a few things on Ebay and now have about £50 in there to pay off the debts. I will leave it until the end of the month though to build it up.
  • Just an update from me. Thought I would keep it all together on this thread. The job I had has been ok, but only £6 an hour and not getting much work given to me as I am temping for a bit until they take me on permanently. Think they are scared I am going to leave as they have had 12 temps in 6 months. Anyway this week I had an interview for a job that I applied for when I was off work. It went really well and I came away really wanting the job. The salary was £6-£7 an hour, I got a letter yesterday offering me £7.75 an hour, so they must really think I suit the job. I am so happy that I want to shout from the roof tops.:j I will give a weeks notice and then start this job.

As for the debt, I have made a bit on Ebay, and car boot sales and got my debt now down to £15359.38. That is over £500 off my debt this month. I have been using the cashback sites and selling more on ebay, so will try and do well again in November and December.

    Thanks for all the support.

I am off to change my signature now.
