Any advice welcome!!

Hi Everyone..

Can anyone give me some advice please..

I went BR in august and everything seems to be going smoothly, i am unemployed and No assets, i had my call from the OR.. just after going BR and was told a quick chat for 10 - 15 mins and there will be no further need to talk to me again, (which was a big relief) so keeping my fingers crossed for a possible ED..

Anyway, i may have a chance to work at the post office as a christmas casual in december, i know i will have to inform the OR of this, but what would be the situation as regards to an IPA/IPO. I think the work will only be for 3 to 4 weeks at the very most, and also would it put back any chance i may have of an ED..

Please can anyone give an opinion or advice on this..

Many Thanks.

Working or not should have no effect on any potential ED.

Whilst you would need to inform the OR of the job, don't forget that your outgoings would increase at the same time, such as travel to work etc.

As regards an IPA - it would depend on your examiner though by the time you have notified them (you have 21 days), they've sent out a new SOA form, you're returned the form, they then send you an IPA to sign, you sign and return, and then there is a cooling off period before it is sent to Moon Beaver to administer - your 3-4 week job will probably have ended.
  • Thanx for reply JCS1

I was thinking to myself it would be a lot of time and paper work just for the 3 to 4 weeks money i would be getting, a wast of time really to set anything like an IPA up..

    Also can you tell me?
since my short phone call with the OR i`ve had the paper work sent to me ie, tax and the other form i had to sign and have counter signed by somone, and returned them 3 weeks ago, but i have not been asked for any bank, credit card statements or anything.. is this usual?.

Not being asked for statements is nothing to worry about. If they are needed, OR can ask the bank/credit card company for copies (though they tend to ask you first as banks can take a long time in responding!)
  • Thanx again JCS1

It all seems to be going fine at the moment, I hope it carries on
    like this.. Thanks again.
