natwest lost my loan agreement

  • it was 13 years ago and dealt through our solicitor who has since closed his practice and retired.

    I asked earlier, if it's a ten year loan (in your mind) what have you been doing for the last three years? I can't believe it's been in dispute for all this time and you're only at the stage where they're saying "We've lost the paperwork".

    So, have you being paying it for three years while all the time protesting the payments?

    legal requirement is to keep a document for 6 years, your accountant should have it. The landregistry will confirm when the charge was added, they can and will take your property if you default.
