Tues 21st Sept - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Arghhhhh I just typed out the rest of this post and the pc crashed..grrrrrr:mad:
So will just get my list down as I'm still sat here with half a face of make up and wet hair:rotfl:

Morning All,
Hope you don’t mind me re-joining in on this thread (I have missed you all, but life/work took over for a while) – I need to focus on MS to clear my debts and have a future with my hubby!
Hope you are all well
Thanks for starting the thread Milly
Anyhow, today I have/will
• Checked online banking – no change, but have to check
• Meals from store-cupboards (rather than throw my porridge which I didn’t have time to eat, I put it in a Tupperware container and ate it on the train – I am slightly embarrassed by this)
• Used my rail pass to get to work
• Have an NSD as I have £10 to last me til the end of the month….no real need to panic though as all my bills are paid
• Need to look for MS jobs
• Work really hard at work as it is almost month end and getting into a really busy period
• Need to fill in my WW food diary – rather than buy a tracker I have a spreadsheet which I print out each week and file away
• Need to take my vitamins to ease PCOS symptoms
• Need to charge my mobile up at work
• Need to try out more fruit teas at work to find one I like (they are free at work)
• Need to catch up with friends on FB rather than texting people
• Need to work on building up my self confidence (it is a really personal thing)
• Need to plan what I am eating this week
• Read newspaper online and get the free newspaper at the station
Take care everyone and have a great day

- Online shop I still haven't done
- Bit of voluntary work
- Water on if needed to do dishes
- Quick washing on 30 - sort clothes for weekend
- Change bedding
- Open all the windows to let some fresh air circulate! Got fleecey jumper on to compensate...
- Get money out but only what's needed
- Book spa - gift for friend
- Master my new knitting stitch!! Was going slightly mad last night with it all!! OliveOyl - ooh, spotted you on Ravelry. I love that bag! I put up a pic of my yoga blanket - you can find me as MrsPB2B
Hi Candy! Welcome any time.:T Good call on the porridge! I am always still getting ready on the train - doing my make up, fixing my hair. I bet there were even some people thinking "why have I never thought of that"

Morning All
Only 3 days until I return to Africa
(I always feel like this, whichever direction :rotfl:) so plenty to do.
I'm looking forward to getting back to Ravelry/knitting La E and I'll check you out
That was my first attemp at felting - and I've learned that very few wools are suitable for felting.
so lots of failed attempts
So today I have/will:- more washing hokey cokey, including my sheets and out on the line to dry.
- will pick some apples and give some to friends and make a couple of crumbles for the freezer
- check banking (went over a cc limit buying flights and got charged £12
) Why does it take so long for a payment to clear?:mad: it was out of my bank and hanging in the financial worlds ether for TWO days :mad: - meeting friends for lunch
- take some clothes to Oxfam and get a £5 M&S voucher
- Return Popeye's jacket to M&S and get the correct size and *maybe* spend my voucher
(you have to spend £35) - continue sorting and packing
- seeing drama friends tonight and they've done a collection for the Orphanage (new underwear for the children, these never get donated :rotfl:) :T:T Hopefully I won't be overweight
how much can a few knickers weigh?

Morning all, and thanks Milly.

Today I will:
* Check progress of Ebay items
* Buy some Body Shop Hemp hand cream for £4 (usually £10) for a birthday present (see the Grabbit forum!)
* Check that the savings account I set up online is working
* Check out the location of the bus stop I need to go to tomorrow to get a free bus that runs to a hospital miles away from me! I don't want to pay to use the train!
* Buy cheap train tickets for trip to London next week
* Finish Christmas temp application
* Clear out lounge cupboards for stuff to throw away / sell on Ebay
* Buy BIL's birthday present, the MSE way!
That's it for now...
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -

Hi loveGSDs
Definitely the more the merrier on here! Welcome along. There's a new thread every day so look out for it tomorrow and then there's one thread per weekend.
Good luck getting that deposit together! I'll be joining you on that challenge next year. Don't think I'll have much if any equity when I sell my current place so need to get save-save-saving and overpaying whenever I can. All fun though - money saving can get quite addictive!
