Too Good To Bge True?

Hi guys. I've been offered a position with a company online and I'm not sure what to do!
After registering with an online job site (totaljobs.com) and uploading my CV I received an e-mail from a company called LloydLTD. They had evaluated my CV and believed my skills and past work experience met with their basic requirements to invite me to apply for a position as part of a small pool of final applicants. It went on say they were a large company with a good reputation and they were finally expanding and looking for new representatives in the UK.
The job and I quote "involves two to three hours a day performing your duties from your home over the internet, is all that is required. We provide a 1 month paid traing period during which you will receive free and unlimited online support. A personal supervisor guides your training. At the end of the training the supervisor will makethe final decision as to whether or not to extend to a permanent job offer. During the training period the supervisor can recommend termination for failure to comply ith rules or attendance and performance requirements.
Your salary during the training period will be GBP 1,5000 per month
+ 8% commission from each transaction. Total income with the current volume of clients will be about GBP £2,500 per month. After the training period your base salary will increase to GBP £1,800 per month + 8% commission" It went on to say if interested please e-mail hr which ofcourse I did.
I then received a second e-mail which had more information .......

They want YOUR bank details to process THEIR payments???
And you're still considering going ahead??
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

  • I hope you are not sderious about going ahead with this - its a classic 419 scam. They will send you money to put into your bank account and then ask you pay some of it out, keeping the rest for your 'salary'. You pay out and several weeks later the bank contacts you to say the payment in has bounced/the cheques was fake, etc, leaving you out of pocket.

  • It is a scam! Keep away from it. There was a similar post last week
  • Yes, it is too good to be true.

    A few pointers are:

Banks 'payment processing' is done by their back office - not your private bank account. Lloyds' looks like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/leshann/2319011524/
Googling 'Brian Hawcroft' brings up complains that totaljobs.com sent out this scam (and it looks like quick action on their part to deal with it)
You're not regulated by the financial services authority.

  • Well, you've all pretty much confirmed my fears!

Now I feel really stupid for being 'duped'!

Surely 'Jobmover' should take more responsibility regarding the companies they do business with? They must let any old ton, !!!!!! or harry have access to your personal information! ............. or are they in on it from the outset? ha:mad:

Thanks for all your advice. You have stopped me from becoming another crime statistic!

    Hello Ms Ashley Gardner,

This is an on-line, home based position. There is no formal Interview process for this position and most of communication is done
on-line. If you have any questions please feel free to call our HR department, the number is listed below.

For the most part what the job requires is for someone to be available Monday through Friday, 9 to 11 am. Your main job would be
monitoring your on-line Task Manager, which you’ll create on our site. Once the funds enter your account, your supervisor will notify
you and assign you your tasks for the day. At this point you would go to your bank, withdraw the funds and transfer them using Western
Union or Money Gram, as instructed by your supervisor.

In the beginning you will only receive 2 to 3 transactions per week. Every transaction is followed by an invoice with our company’s
seal. You would always be aware of where the funds are coming from and where they are going.

All applicants have to pass pre-employment test in order to be employed for trial period. Please take the test seriously, as it used
to give us more complete picture of who the potential hires are and how they would fit into our work environment.

Please follow the link to complete the test:In determining whether you are a qualified candidate for this position we perform background checks. Mainly we look for any outstanding
delinquencies that you might have and for any criminal convictions. Both of these background checks help us determine whether you are a
    qualified candidate.

Make sure that you have read our

Once you pass the pre-employment test, notify me by e-mail and I'll send you all of the necessary application forms.
