    Have to watch Santa Clause the Movie, Miracle on 34th Street and Scrooged or it officially illegal to celebrate Christmas!!!! :)

    Havent read the whole thread but The Grinch has to be my favourite. Love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too and although its not a Xmas theme is definately a Xmas movie!!

    it just isnt christmas in our house until we have seen elf, a miracle on 34th street and love actually,

    I also love to watch willy wonka (original) mary poppins, annie etc

    I LOVE Santa Claus the Movie - the one with Dudley Moore. I HAVE to watch it before Christmas!! The whole elf house bit is EXACTLY what you imagine it to be!!! Wonderful film.

    Also LOVE the Polar Express, Muppets Christmas Carol, A Christmas Carol (the one that's a musical - bit dark and scary but fun!), The Snowman.....

    The Grinch and A Nightmare Before Christmas as both great too, but they both used to freak me out a little when I was younger!! lol

    EDITED TO ADD - I'm with those of you who mentioned Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins!! There's just certain types of films that SHOULD be on over Chrsitmas. Same with any Wallace and Gromit, Toy Story, Sound of Music......

    i have just ordered The Holiday, i want to see the cottage !!!!

    on the strength of thsi thread, it kickstarted me into ordering dvds for the christmas eve hampers
    got a bit carried away, i ordered 6, but came to less than £9 for them from amazon

    miracle on the 34th st we already have
    thats our christmas must each year
