Hiya folks
Does anyone here use BT Vision? the one with the tv package.
If so what do you think of it?
I get plenty of occasions where youtube videos and the like stutter and buffer and would imagine that this would do the same?
Anyone got any thoughts or experience.
Thanks in advance.

I have also been wondering about Bt Vision, do you need a good Digital signal? I know all on demand stuff comes over the phone line but what about normal TV?0

bt vision comes down your broadband but you need to be close to the exchange I am approx 2 miles from the exchange in a straight line and I'm too far out to receive itNorn Iron Club Member #64

We have bt vision and broadband and would really recommend it - have had vision for 14 months now- great signal and great for watching on demand. My kids love the kids channel - especially the two girls who are a bit older as more for them - they are past watching a lot of stuff that is on CITV CBBC.
As for buffering - my old computer did this all the time and it was hard to watch anything through youtube. Got a new laptop about 3 weeks ago and all youtube plays really well. BT will advise if you line is suitable or not - I have two friends who live rurally about 30 yards apart - one can get BT vision and the other was told she couldnt!!!0 -
We have had Vision for about 6 months now and i would recommend it, will never go back to sky, loads of programs to watch when you want, and it is actually cheaper for my package than sky was.0

I have vision with no aeriel connected just for watching the odd film when there's nothing on Sky. You need to have a minimum speed on your BB or you can't have it (1.5 or 2 meg?) when the Vision box is streaming it reserves 1 meg of your broadband to ensure that the streaming runs smoothly and leaves your broadband with some capacity for other users in the house who are surfing the net at the same time. Occasionally when watching a film ours gets a bit juddery, we normally pause it for a couple of minutes, refresh our drinks and when we hit play again it usually plays ok afterwards.
It's a decent cheap alternative to sky/virgin.0 -
Had Bt vision for 12 months - really impressed with it- I also had sky and apart from football it is much better value. It changes how you watch TV. You can record tv but also watch box sets and loads of series. Sky1 is only thing that I would take from sky. No problems with Broadband either.0

We have vision, personally i love it. Not really interested in having Sky. Demand is briliant, updated all the time with new series and such to watch. Also handy being able to pause, rewind and record tv.0

This is now becoming available in our area.....looking at some of the packages.....not very clear as to what actually get among their bronze and gold packages...ie a list of what channels etc that are being offered!!
Any more new experiences amongst the forum members?
I checked and they said I could get up to 30mb off my connection, this is fine for 2 on the net, plus streaming TV etc?
How reliable has it been as a package...any problems...how were they dealt with?
Thanks, P0
