i received the same today... just in time too as one of my daughters guests for her birthday party asked if she could bring her younger cousin who'll be at her house the weekend of the party... now i've got something age appropriate to put in her goodie bag!

Woah woah, what? You're telling him to grow up, and then boasting about how many times you've been thanked? Maybe we need to back up here and take our own advice.

I take the same point of view as Noggin I'm afraid. Now that's not to say you shouldn't or can't do it, but if others perception of you matters, and it would seem it does, I'm just saying that it can come across as a bit needy.

But it's a free Internet, you can do what you like with it.

Have to say, when I see sigs asking for thanks I don't give them, I imagine a lot of other posters feel the same.
