Can anyone tell me are IVA's, Individual voluntary agreements, a good idea if you are desperate or not, I am considering doing this but am not sure if this is a good or bad thing............I mean I know its not actually a good thing as such, but you know what I mean, Fee

It will depend on your personal circumstances - for some people an IVA can be a good thing, and a way of avoiding bankruptcy, but they do need to be managed properly as they are a 'legal' contract between you and your creditors. If you are considering this as an option for debt, why not post your SOA and people can advise you of your best course of action.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
