Will be missing until late on Wed 27th, so if there is any upheaval don't expect a response from me before then.

    Where you folks staying?

I will come to as much of the action as poss but will have to be sensible cos of ME. Have my first proper physio session on Friday so don't know what state it will leave me in ... am a bit nervous about it but she seems nice so hopefully won't torture me.

Nooly - I saw a consultant years ago who was Irish and I forget her name now - but she was going to send me to physio when I was half dead ! I was really ill then after working on for a year when I should've stopped. I just looked at her and walked out, never went to it obviously. She told me she "didnt believe in ME as an illness" ..Prat.

That makes me mad - there are a lot of them like that here it seems. 2 GPs in my practice don't believe (one suggested I exercise my way out of it  nearly killed me!) but they did refer me on to rheumie whose name I got from the ME charity =. He seems ok but it's early days yet. The physio seems to understand the issues and was all for taking a gentle approach guided by what I feel I can do. Do you reckon I'm better off not getting physio? Apparently the idea is to prevent/minimise deconditioning. Hope you've got a better Doc now. Grrrrr.
