Good priced LCD Monitor + surge protector

Saw this on Scan's website, looks like a good deal, will be available 'till noon next Friday. Ideal for anyone who can get to Horwich to collect it.

Would this work ok with a dell dimension 3100 ?
Does it have to be DVI(what ever that means) ?

This would work fine with a Dimension 3100, but don't expect to play intense 3D games on a screen with this resolution unless you have a decent graphics card in the PC. Doesn't need DVI because this screen also has D-Sub input too.

Yoou might want to check that your Dell will output at the resolution of this screen - check your original documentation or give Dell a call.

It might tell you all the different output resolutions that your PC can support - this monitor runs at 1440x900 so you want to be sure your graphics card can produce that resolution.
