Quick question about beef stew/casserole

I used to brown mine but since getting Jamie's book a couple of years ago, I haven't. It was a faff to do anyway because there wasn't enough room to do it all together so had to do it in batches which meant getting a plate dirty as well which of course is more washing up!
I cook mine in the oven.0 -
No I never do, but I toss it in a little flour before putting it in the casserole as it helps to thicken the gravy. I also add some onion skins if I have any (remove before serving) as it gives the casserole a nice rich colour.0
