Problems playing recorded (tv) DVD's

Hi there
Hope someone can help me with this v.frustrating problem.
The DVD+R's I have been creating using my DVD (HDD) recorder , do not play in my daughters DVD-R player.
Is this simply a DVD+/-R compatibility issue?
Is converting them to DVD-R using my PC the best option?
Thanks for any help

  • If the player only plays -R and the disks are +R then, yes it is a compatibility issue :undecided.

You can't convert to -R using your PC as the disk format is independent of what you do on your PC (for this purpose anyway). If the player only plays -R then you need to get yourself some -R disks.
  • We have sorted the problem!!:j

DVD(HDD) recorder appears to leave disc "open";have just "closed" disc using burning program on PC and now works on DDs DVD!
