Changing Bank Accounts!

Tomorrow I am going to open a new bank account, as one of my debts is with the bank that I bank with.
My creditors are,
Halifax Bank of Scotland
Royal Bank of Scotland
MBNA
Barclaycard
Black Horse
Northern Rock
NEXT card
I was looking at switching to Abbey or Clydesdale Bank, are any of those banks associated with any of the above?
Thanks
Dave

Here's a list put together by Hannah_10. Looks like either of the 2 u mention should be OK but do double check

Thanks sofababe, that's great!
I'm heading down this morning to sort it, we have only missed one payment (well made a less than minimum payment) on 2 credit cards thus far, is that likely to have affected our credit rating so that we won't get a normal bank account?
Cheers

I wouldn't think so. As long as you're not bankrupt or in an IVA you should be able to get a normal current account. I'm doing a DMP and my credit file is shot to bits but I still got basic bank accounts with NatWest and Co-op, so nothing is impossible

You'd think these banks don't want your business, went to the Clydesdale and Santander, both seemed less than interested! Got an appointment with Santander for Saturday!
I may be going into a Trust Deed, so would rather get the bank account sorted before the credit file get's shredded completely!
