They're very nice, whenever we go away for the weekend we always book into one, they are basic however, 1 double bed with a sofa which doubles as a bed with a pull out underneath, the bathroom has a bath and also a shower (stand in bath type), there's a tv and tea and coffee making facilities, also a phone with internet access payable through a card i think, just plug your laptop into it.

Never had any problems, always neat and tidy.

We often stay in Travelodges (they take dogs and only charge £10 per dog per stay) and we've always found them great - clean and comfy, although they don't provide the luxuries like shampoo etc.

I don't think they do discount codes, but if there are no saver or supersaver rooms available I'd book on expedia going via Quidco for some cashback.
  • Yep I find them to be just the ticket as all you need really is a nice clean place to stay. Most time will be spent out enjoying the area.
So if any one can help it would be much appreciated.I plan on taking my parents to the city where they first met for their anniversary next month, a nice weekend away for them both, but being as funds are a bit tight thought any help from you guys would be ideal.
  • i have always had soap at a travelodge. shower gel is also available just ask at reception

check the site on a regular basis - I managed to get a £26 pound room for a Saturday (near Alton Towers at the start of the kids week), however this offer was not available a few days before I booked. Just gotta keep checking... Good Luck!

Is it Travelodge that do the rooms for a tenner deals every now and then? If so, any ideas when we might see the next one?

They use to but they are £15 now and probably going up again soon. Usually lots of £26 rooms about if you book early enough though
  • Hiya,

Have you tried Innkeepers Lodge? They have some promos on are are quite nice hotels (much better than travleodges IMO) - Here's the link -> http://www.innkeeperslodge.com/offers.asp?id=1

    Hope it helps.
