Insurance for "female cancers"/ Well Woman Plans

Hello,
I wondered what the views are on these specific insurance policies that pay out a cash sum on diagnosis, then a monthly amount plus payments if in hosptal or needing surgery.
As someone, so far so good, but whose mum and grandmother had uterine cancer and then hysterectomies, I am very tempted. AIG do one that would be £9.70 a month (for my age group) for £12000 cash sum, £1000 a month for a year, and £6000 for surgery and £200 per night in hospital (up to 100 nights). That all sounds good to me but are any money-saving alternatives? I don't just want a straightforward life policy that pays out on death. I do currently have another critical illness policy but it wouldn't pay out for "contained" cancers (I guess that means ones that haven't spread and can be removed by surgury).
Thanking you in anticipation of your wise replies!
