Ideas for a disney themed wedding...

I am in the early stages of planning my May 2012 wedding. My lovely hubby to be proposed to me in front of cinderellas castle in Florida so we have decided to have a disney theme wedding...
looking for ideas as to how we can bring some disney subtleties into our big day...any advice???

a friend of mine had a disney themed wedding. she had mickey mouse pictures on placecards, the tables were named after disney couples (i remember i was on aladdin and jasmine..) and they had a disney cake topper. they had a mickey and minnie wedding teddy seet if i remember rightly on a table too. during the reception, they played a couple of the disney love songs.

they are completely disney obsessed, but the wedding was really lovely - there wasn't too much disney but enough to make it very clearly and memorably their wedding!

if you are having little bridesmaids, get them all a different disney princess dress up dress to wear, i've seen it done and it looked adorable!

Table names: Ariel and Eric's Table, Jasmine and Aladdin's table etc with of course Beauty and the Beast for the top table:rotfl:or even "The Magic Kingdom" should Mr G pout about that!

Hey, congratulations!!
I got engaged in front of mickey mouse in disney land paris! (just found out we are going to be going on our honey moon to disney florida and am over the moon - never been on a plane before so cant wait, OH parents done it as a wedding present and am very very grateful!!!:j)

We are also having a disney theme through the wedding because of the engagement setting, though we have said we dont want it too in your face because otherwise it could be a bit tacky...though guess depends what scale you want!!
We have orange and pink as colours too, but perhaps could go for the corn flour blue like cinderella's dress for bridesmaid dresses?

We have brought our flower girls pretty wings to wear through the afternoon and for dinner to keep them busy (one will be 3 and the other 10) they both have flower wands too rather than a boquet.

Our table names are going to be disney couples - our table being mickey and minnie. We are going to use photos we have taken from our disney trips (been to paris 3 times) for the characters hopefilly for the table names.
Using certain disney music for different points in the ceremony and through the day as back ground music.
Going to have a mickey and minnie wedding cake topper.
We were going to do favours to reflect the disney couple/film individual for each table... little mermiad/ariel and eric; choc sea shells etc. but decided against that and will be having a disney theme sweetie table instead.

Our save the dates have mickey and minnie on them which matches a wedding postcard i sent my OH just after he proposed to me, guest book will have same picture through it as well.
Cant think of anything else at the moment that we have got disney as there quite a few things, but hope some of those ideas have helped!!

I love this idea! I've never been to a disney themed wedding as such but at a recent wedding that I went to, after the service the bride and groom walked out of the church to "bare necessities" from the jungle book. It really uplifted the entire congregation, a lot of people were laughing, singing and clapping along...I thought it was a lovely idea.
