advertising outside shops?

Hey, sorry if this is in the completely wrong forum but I wasn't sure where to ask.
I work in a shop in a specialised shop in the high street and for the past week we have had someone from another shop that have just started selling what we specialise in standing right outside and stopping our customers as they try to enter our store.
What can we do about this? This person is literally stopped people from coming in to tell them to go elsewhere. We have a lot of loyal customers who are getting cross with it as well.
Thanks

If they are causing an obstruction (which by the sound of it they are), you MIGHT be able to get the police involved. You can do an awful lot on the pavement as long as you are not and do not cause an obstruction.
Otherwise, send someone round to their shop doing the same?Signature removed for peace of mind0
