    Thank you for all of your replies, it is interesting to see what people spend, I guess since we are all on MSE most of us will be a bit sensible??!

    I absolutely LOVE christmas and I now have to admit that I am going to Australia for 3 weeks this year for Christmas, but that doesn't get me out of present buying, I'll just have to leave them here for my family, and buy more for the people I'll be visiting. (( SOOOOOOOOOOO excited as I haven't seen any of my friends for 2 1/2 years, and their little uns who will have grown up so much in that time)).

    Now I feel really mean I'm not spending it with my family????? haha
