Mad sauntered up to the War Memorial in town today. Couldn't believe the mass of people there today :) Me bro didn't turn up (obviously had a row with the missus:eek:)
Even though I knew it was coming, the rifle shot at the start and end of the two minute silence still made me jump:eek:After the service we all followed the band up the High St. to the town hall which was nice:o
Mad then proceeded on a three mile walk to T's to relieve them of Frosties and Pizza (B1G2F)

We also did this today. The number of people there has been increasing over the last few years, I suspect because of Afghanistan and think there must have been about 1000 today. A really good turnout as the weather was terrible -wet & windy.

It was really good to see how the number of the youth organisations now joining in the parade has increased but it would be better if some of them had some marching practice before the day! For about the last 5 years our 2 senior schools have also been representated and taken part in laying wreaths - always interesting to see what the current fashion is - smart or casual!

Just done my good deed for the day... left a 100 points till spit for a tin of quality street on a random tin in store.
If I'd kept it any longer I would have been tempted to buy them myself  these boxes of chocs on sale before xmas are the start of a slippery slope :rotfl::rotfl:
I bought 2 heroes and 2 celebrations when they where £10 buy one get one free and then got/bought 100 points off quality street and they are all gone too am so pleased that they are £5 each now - and yes I did get more at £4.50 plus roses and they are gone too!!!!
