INformation on SOA

Hi,

I have done a SOA for a creditor as they want to re-assess my situation (after finishing a 5 year DMP which hasn't cleared the debt, but thats another matter ;) ).

Anyway, they have requested the outstanding balance owed to other creditors, do I have to provide this information?

I am happy enough listing my income / outgoings etc, just wondering if I have to provide those balances.

Thanks

  • Thanks for the reply, I was wondering as one creditor has told me they require the balances from other creditors to assess my pro-rata payments, even though I have agreed to a payment with them!

You don't have to. You can if you want, but there is nothing to say you have to.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

When we did our I & E for our DMP, we put the totals from each creditor but labelled them Creditor 1, Creditor 2, Creditor 3... and then highlighted the appropriate creditor for each letter. We did not indicate the names of the other creditors, as I felt that as long as they had the totals (so they could see how we worked out the payment percentages), that was all they needed. I suppose I didn't even need to give them that, but it was just easier so that we could do a "form letter" for each of them. There were a couple creditors that stated that we needed to give them more details about the other creditors but I simply wouldn't play ball and wouldn't give them any further information. There's no need for them to have it.
