Account Number - xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx

I am writing to you to remind you that on 25 August 2010 I formally requested all communications with me from the date of that letter must be made to me in writing. I enclose a copy of that letter along with copies of the other letters I have sent which to date I have yet to receive any proper response, the only correspondence received being my card statements and reminders that I have failed to make the minimum payment.due..I know that these letters have been received as I have checked the status with the Royal Mail's Recorded Delivery Section and the cheque I sent with the SAR request has been presented by you to my bank and this was paid.

On 08 September 2010 I received a call from ????????????

In response to each of these call where an individual actually spoke, I made it clear that I had formally requested in a letter to you dated 25 August 2010 that I be contacted only in writing and not by telephone.

I have identified that the above numbers are used by CitiCard and I am sure you are aware that to continue to contact me by telephone after I have requested you not to could be considered to be harassment.

As I stated in my letter of 25 August 2010 I require all future communications to be in writing, so please advise those who are making these calls that they must cease making them and remove my telephone number immediately from any lists those making these calls use.

I have sought advice and I am advised that the calls I am receiving from your organisation could be in breach of the Office of Fair Trading guidelines and Section 9: Paragraph 144: of the Bank Lending Code to which CitiFinancial Europe plc has signed up to.

If these calls continue after the receipt of this letter, this will trigger further official complaints, together with a log recording the times and frequency of the calls, will be made to both OFT and Trading Standards.

This type of debt collection method of calling people at all hours of the day, sometimes two or three times a day, may be contrary to the Administration of Justice Act 1970, in that they intended to cause distress to the individual being called. These telephone calls may also constitute an offence under sections of the Communications Act 2003.

in view of the detrimental affect dealing with these calls is having on my health and well being, once again I am advising you that I will only communicate in writing. Apart from the affect on my health my view is that I am dealing with some call centre, probably located somewhere like India, and apart from whoever made the calls hanging up without speaking, when someone does speak, to be quite frank with you, they do not appear to be able to understand what I am saying or trying to say.

I trust I have made myself quite clear on this matter and any further calls will without further reference to you, trigger formal complaints to the regulatory authorities referred to above.

Yours faithfully,

How did you get on with your Citi Card Letter? My situation slightly different in that Citi Card consistenly write to me asking me to telephone them. I consistenly reply making it clear that I am unable to make telephone calls. Despite my writing they reply with statements such as 'as you have failed to contact us........'
