3 Months Pay Slips from same job?

Hi,
I am very close to start purchasing my first home. I am also very close to potentially moving employer. When applying for a mortgage they commonly ask to see 3 months payslips. Does anybody know if this has to be from the same employer or can it be split between old and new employer ? Otherwise I'd have to wait 3 months before they'd accept me.
Many thanks.
Graham

Check with the mortgage company - from what I can gather Nathionwide are ok with you being in a new job but they want to see a copy of your contract and will contact your employer to confirm0
