Loan says settled on my credit report???

Hi im a newbie so i hope im posting in the right place!?

this is the situation, my husband has a £19,000 loan with lloyds which has been passed on to a debt collection agancy, on his credit report though it says it has been settled with lloyds and there is no info of it being owed to anyone? is this due to the collection agency buying it off of lloyds? and where does it leave us with regards to paying it?

any help much appreciated

  • It leaves you still needing to repay it I am afriad.
    Thinking critically since 1996....
  • you'll probably find that the debt collection agency will post it up soon - how long ago did Lloyds sell the debt?
We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.
  • it was sold at the end of april, thing is they sold it on after we had agreed a monthly amount to pay for 10 months, while we sorted ourselves back out!
