Good morning DFWs :hello:
Hope it's a good day for everyone! I imagine all of us not working at the weekend are in the same boat - exciting about the end of the week!
:j
Blooming miserable down here and it's about to rain any second now. Nevermind, I've got a lot to do at work and home and need the bad weather to help me not feel tempted to go out and about!
End of the Sunday to Friday challenge today and sadly, I didn't make my £20 max. I spent £28.41 in total (or £23.20 if you exlude a friend's lunch which was my turn to buy!). I am disappointed but, lets face, it could be a lot worse! Onwards and upwards I say and already thinking of what target to set this Sunday.
Hope everyone else did well and as a reminder, here's the list of challengers
I hope I haven't missed anyone out or made any errors in copying and pasting
Hope we have some good updates!
Have a great day and a lovely weekend everyone.

hmmm, moozie i think i kick your butt to next week with the blowing of budget thing. my spends have reached £6.41, though i need to buy milk and thread today so add another £2.50 for that.
but...i went out on wednesday night and spent £24 on booze despite claiming i wouldnt drink or spend more than £10. i'm a very very very bad dfw  i'm going to take it out of my bday funds or summit (haven't sat down to think of that yet) so i'll let you guys decide if i made it within budget or not!
as for today i'm looking about a £2.50 spend, then [STRIKE]hoping[/STRIKE] planning a no spend weekend.
hope everyones done better than me! :rotfl:0 -

Sorry Moozie, Didn't post yesterday - too pre-occupied with BR petition:mad:
Been pretty good all week, but yesterday was a bit of a downer - spent:
Busfare £3.00
Tobacco : £5.20 (I know!)
Lunch (Pasty): £1.30
Chocolate: £0.47 (Tesco Value - 200 grammes)
I'll try to do better today;)
ps I thought the challenge was till tomorrow.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Well I went over due to car parking, but account didn't go overdrawn and I didn't take any further money out so I'm still happy
Today 40p on car park, again, so I can get my contact lenses because they've sent the pack too late and I can't wear my glasses because they give me headaches :rolleyes:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
anniestar wrote:Whats Tesco value chocolate like? I always buy the normal Tesco choc. Is there any difference?
I am sure that a chocolate gourmet could taste the difference, but I certainly can not. I used to buy Cadbury's Dairy Milk at over £1. 30, and yes there is obviously a difference between this and the Tesco Value stuff, but not enough to justify the price difference:beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Total spend for yesterday was massively over budget
I spent £4.30 on cigs (Quit date set for the 6th)
£1.30 on two bottles of diet coke (I know!!!!!)
39p on a chocolate bar (ditto)
£2.50 on a sandwich and some crips for lunch and dinner
Total spent on total and utter needless cr*p = £8.49!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gah.
In mitigation my quit date is dictated by the medication I'm on, I have actually no food in the house suitable for taking to work for lunch (cold tinned beans anyone?) and I did do a 12 hour shift so all that food did cover me for 12 hours... What a load of excuses.
Today will be a massivley reduced spend day - apart from anything else I've only got £2! Going to get a breadroll, an apple and some cottage cheese from the supermarket down the road. Estimated cost £1ish
