The Dixons one is the 250ml only version - fine if all your cups take 250ml. The sainsburys one is 2nd generation - gives a choice of variable amounts for larger / smaller cups. The Sainsburys price is very good - nearly bought one yesterday, then read reviews that say they leak / break down , etc etc - as the OP has also found. Anyone got one and not had problems?0

We have the Tefal version, but by all accounts they are also unreliable.
Ours has been fine for 2 years but there are numerous threads about them going wrong if you google.
Great idea, not yet reliable IMHO2 angels in heaven :A0 -
we have the original one and have no problems with it at all, we really like it and intend getting another when this one breaks.
it is noisier than a kettle but other than that brilliantWhen you know better you do better0 -
We also had the original but gave that away to a friend (in full working order) when dh wanted the newer version. The newer one is great it holds more water and great when you want different amount of boiled water, plus you can stop the water mid flow if you wanted. I found it so useful when ds was a baby, instant hot water to warm up his feeds! The newer model is also quieter than the old model. We never had any problems with either hot cups (fingers crossed!).

Cheaper at amazon by 50p and free delivery, if Sainsbury`s do not have stock.
